It is a great headlamp. I use it mainly for crawling into tunnels and confined spaces. This headlamp illuminates everything, so I use my hands to fix my equipment. I love using it, I recommend this to everyone. It's such a useful tool.
I used it for caving and it was amazingly bright and fit on my hard hat perfectly. It doesn't draw alot of power as i have used it for 5 camping nights and caving for several hours without a battery change. Great product for camping hiking and caving. Thanks. I will buy again in a heartbeat, specially for the price.
Having been a spelunker (caver) in years past, I appreciate headlamps and have owned several over the decades including the earliest LEDs. Putting on and testing the LHB 1000 was most impressive. Not only the amazing light output, which is phenomenal, but the precise and even illumination throughout the beam angle adjustment. Battery life is also amazing and appears to be as claimed. Headband is comfortable and rear battery placement is easy to live with.
Worked very well for caving in upstate New York! Very satisfied. The zoom feature is especially good for looking down into caves and through crevices.
